Tras una ley estatal del año pasado que exige la cooperación con las autoridades federales de inmigración, Arkansas ha expandido su infraestructura local de control migratorio. La policía estatal, el departamento de correccionales y decenas de agencias locales ahora mantienen acuerdos del programa 287(g) que les otorgan poderes de aplicación de la ley, atrayendo fondos de incentivos federales e impulsando cientos de arrestos en todo el estado.
